HAPPY LABOR DAY!
I wish you a very happy, healthy, and restful Labor Day. This is going to be an awesome school year. Please enjoy your day on Monday.
4th GRADE ORIENTATION
If you have an incoming 4th Grader, please join us from 3:15PM to 4:15PM in the 4th grade classrooms on Wednesday, September 4th. You may enter the building through the 4th/5th grade entrance. Please bring all supplies on the supply list with you as they can be dropped-off in the classrooms during the visit. We look forward to seeing you there!
If you are dropping-off your child at school each morning, all drop-offs must occur in the upper parking lot; there are signs marked as where to stop in order to safely drop-off your child. Once leaving cars, children should then proceed on the sidewalk towards the crosswalk. We will have personnel at the crosswalk in front of the school building to meet your child.
If you are picking-up your child at school in the afternoon, please do so by parking your car in one of the parking lots and proceeding to the side door by the cafeteria. All student pick-ups at dismissal time will occur in the cafeteria. If your child is being picked-up, you must notify the main office by 1:30PM.
HAVE A DISMISSAL CHANGE?
If you are making dismissal changes, we ask that you please call the main office by 1:30 PM.; you may also email Ms. Christiano at email@example.com. Calls that come in after this time delay our dismissal process. Calls that come in during dismissal can delay our buses leaving at the end of the day. Please let me know if you have any questions.
STUDENT CELLPHONE AND PERSONAL ELECTRONICS DEVICE USAGE POLICY
The middle school has a Student Cellphone and Personal Electronics Device Usage Policy. This policy is important in order to keep students safe in school by reducing the risk of bullying and allowing for there to be fewer distractions, both for themselves and for the classroom teacher. As last year, students will not be permitted to have cellphones and personal electronics out during the school day. Let us know if you have any questions.
THE GREENWOOD LAKE GREETING
Each week, I will be sharing a brief newsletter with you via email. The document will also appear on my parent blog, which you can access by clicking here. Previous week’s Greetings can be accessed on the blog.
